Job summary

Adjoin is seeking a Community Support Specialist in North County, CA to deliver direct services and coordinate community resources for adults with disabilities. The role emphasizes safety, client-centered planning, and collaborative teamwork to help clients engage in education, work, and recreation.

The position offers a pay range of $18.75–$19.75 per hour, full-time hours, and comprehensive benefits. Travel within counties and to state locations may be required to support client activities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience navigating post-secondary educational processes (college enrollment, resources, requirements).
• At least 1 year of experience in a social service setting helping disadvantaged or vulnerable people.
• Ability to follow instructions is critical.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage time.
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect confidentiality.
• First Aid and CPR certification or completion within 45 days of hire.
• Insured, eligible vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Must have a mobile device with reliable internet; reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual training and support programs in education, pre-employment, volunteering, and social/recreation services.
• Develop and coordinate community resources to build client skills.
• Provide community activities with social/behavioral value and education (anger, communication, monitoring).
• Maintain positive communications with supervisors, clients, families, and community members.
• Participate in client evaluations using task analysis and assessments.
• Provide logs, reports, and client evaluations timely and accurately.
• Assist in ensuring client and staff safety during activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities, ensuring safety and timeliness.
• Perform all duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
