Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, supporting adults with severe mental illness who are also experiencing substance use challenges. In this role, you will provide integrated, recovery-oriented substance use services within a multidisciplinary ACT team in community settings.

The position offers full-time hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM, weekdays) with rotating on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana licensure in one of the specified credentials.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience with adults with serious mental illness.
• Experience with substance use disorders preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use assessments and evaluations.
• Deliver individual and family counseling services.
• Provide case management aligned with treatment plans.
• Support clients with co‑occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Link clients to community resources and supports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ACT team members.
• Participate in rotating on‑call schedule (1 week every 6–8 weeks).
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
