Clarvida, located in Mandeville, LA, seeks a Substance Abuse Specialist to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This full-time role supports adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders in community settings, performing assessments, counseling, care coordination, and resource linkage.

The position operates on a rotating on-call schedule, with PTO tied to on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana licensure in one of LPC, LCSW, LPC-S, LAC/LAC-S, LMSW, PLPC, or CIT.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use assessments and evaluations.
• Deliver individual and family counseling services.
• Provide case management services aligned with treatment plans.
• Support clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Link clients to appropriate community-based resources and supports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ACT team members.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 week every 6–8 weeks).
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Follow reporting regulations, patient rights standards, and crisis intervention protocols.
