Job summary

The YMCA of San Antonio is seeking a Site Lead at Mays Family YMCA at Stone Oak to organize and oversee game and practice times, coordinate with coaches, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for youth sports.

You will monitor equipment, enforce policies, communicate with parents and staff, and respond to emergencies while upholding the YMCA’s mission and core values in every activity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate diplomatic interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, YMCA members, and participants.
• Ability to relate to children and parents.
• Intervene in conflict resolution as needed.
• Serve as a primary responder for emergencies.
• Driver's license required for travel to locations within the greater San Antonio area.
• Certifications within first week: Redwoods Bloodborne Pathogens, Defensive Driving, Hazardous Communications.
• Certifications within first 60 days: CPR, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen.

Responsibilities

• Will manage game and practice times and referee games when needed.
• Ensure sites have equipment before games and practices and that equipment is stored afterwards.
• Monitor and enforce game rules and attend sport-specific training as required.
• Promote participant safety and engagement per YMCA policies.
• Develop and maintain communication with parents, players, and coaches.
• Enforce all YMCA rules and policies and keep schedule changes current.
• Maintain communication with Sports Director about site needs and issues.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure facility cleanliness.
