Job summary

The Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult Community SLT service based at Weymouth Community Hospital, covering Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas. You will provide a community clinical service and work with Band 6/7 therapists, SLT assistants and other colleagues.

The post offers CPD opportunities, regular supervision, and a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Provide evidence-based community clinical service for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate with Band 6/7 therapists and SLT assistants within an MDT.

Responsibilities

• Provide community clinical SLT assessments and develop care plans.
• Deliver services in patients' homes, clinics, or video calls as appropriate.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and students within the team.
