Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5) to support adults with communication difficulties on an inpatient neurorehabilitation unit. The role welcomes final year SLT students or those with HCPC registration pending and offers flexible arrangements around 33 hours per week on Ashby ward at Lincoln County Hospital.

Successful applicants will work with patients, families and staff to implement patient-centred communication support and AAC

Qualifications

• Final year SLT students or HCPC registration pending.
• Eligible to apply if awaiting HCPC registration.

Responsabilités

• Work with Adults on inpatient neurorehabilitation unit to support communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Assess, diagnose and provide intervention for higher level cognitive linguistic and social communication difficulties after brain injury.
• Work on Ashby ward with multidisciplinary team to implement patient-centred communication strategies and AAC where appropriate.
• Regular weekend and Bank holiday rota is part of the role.
