Job summary

The Salvation Army in Indiana is seeking a dedicated cashier to help customers, process transactions and direct clients to social services as needed. You will support daily thrift-store operations in a fast-paced, faith-based environment and contribute to the mission by serving the community with courtesy and accuracy.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and baseline computer skills. Safety training will be provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks required and reviewed.
• Experience: Previous customer service.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days.
• English proficiency for effective communication.
• Ability to learn electronic reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Make Daily Deposits with 2 staff members
• Answer Phone calls and take messages
• Hang racks of clothing
• General upkeep of store
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership
