Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard at 405 Dumont Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207. The role requires monitoring access, maintaining order, and ensuring safety for staff, clients, and visitors.

You will perform post assignments, respond to incidents, and comply with NYS licensing and training requirements. This is a part-time position offering a stable schedule and opportunities to contribute to a community-focused housing program.

Qualifications

• NYS Security Guard license
• Sufficient Education to comprehend basic reading, writing, and math to execute the required functions of the role.
• Must have an 8-hour Pre-Assignment security guard training course certificate.
• Must obtain a 16-hour On-the-Job security guard training course certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Must complete the 8-Hour Annual In-Service Course each calendar year.
• Must have and maintain a NYS Security Guard license.
• Must obtain NYS Security Guard registration and must maintain registration during employment.
• Must obtain Fire Guard certification and maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to maintain order and security of people and property
• detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules
• maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved
• protect employees, visitors and tenants
• provide directions to visitors when requested
