Job summary

CAMBA Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard at Legacy Houses, 2081 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10037. The role supports building security, controls access, and ensures safety for staff, clients and visitors.

You will monitor posts, respond to incidents, and report irregularities to maintain quiet, orderly operations. Required training includes 8-hour Pre-Assignment, 16-hour On-the-Job, and 8-hour Annual In-Service; a NYS Security Guard license and Fire Guard certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong observation and reporting skills are preferred.
• Ability to maintain safety and security of building occupants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to ensure order and security of people and property.
• Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules.
• Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved.
• Protect employees, visitors, and clients.
• Observe and report irregularities such as unusual behavior, property damage, fire hazards, etc.
• Provide directions to visitors when requested.
