Job summary

Comstock is seeking a Security Officer for ParkX Management in Arlington, VA to ensure the facility runs safely, cleanly, and provides a positive experience for residents, tenants, and guests.

You will conduct hourly patrols, control access, monitor for safety issues, and report concerns to management. Flexibility to work after hours and weekends is required; prior security or customer-service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified security officer by DC is required.
• At least 1 year in a customer-service role.
• Valid driver's license with no major violations.
• Evenings and weekends availability preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and with high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrols of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants, and vendors.
• Identify and report safety concerns to management.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building.
• Enforce rules and issue ban notices as needed.
• Assist marketing during events at Reston and Loudoun Station.
• Manage the plaza valet at Reston Station.
• Keep fire access areas unobstructed and report issues.
• Communicate with guests about rules and contact numbers.
• Close loading dock doors and monitor loading activity.
