Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate preferred.
• One year group facilitation or supervision experience preferred.
• One year experience in human development, community outreach, child psychology, counseling, or related fields preferred.
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow assignments, exercise initiative and good judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to communicate with diverse communities and develop outreach strategies.

Responsibilities

• Works to support students and families within the Community School catchment area.
• Monitors and/or mentors an identified group of students and caregivers.
• Coordinates group sessions and submits timely reports detailing student participation and outcomes.
• Ensures accurate and confidential student records.
• Acts as a liaison between the school and a community of diverse families at school and community events.
• Participates in community and school activities supporting the school’s initiatives.
• Monitors progress of all school-community activities and keeps records of results.
• Facilitates activities and events promoting stronger staff relationships with parents/guardians and community.
• Establishes effective working relationships with staff and support personnel.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
