Urban Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for Social and Human Services in New Bern, NC.

This full‑time role reports to the Director of Operations and is grant‑funded under Choice Neighborhood Initiatives, with a salary of $70,000–$74,000 annually. The Project Manager will lead partnerships, supervise site teams, manage contracts and budgets, and drive neighborhood revitalization to improve family stability and economic mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5 years nonprofit or human services project management experience.
• Strong written and oral communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience supervising teams and managing contracts.
• Proficient in data analysis and program design.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage high-impact partners to meet program goals.
• Lead and support sub-contractors and partners across sectors in program implementation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key organizations and service providers.
• Manage project contracts and budgets and be accountable for expenditures.
• Develop and present internal and external reports to stakeholders and partners.
• Foster partnerships to boost neighborhood economic development.
• Develop and implement a neighborhood revitalization plan aligned with program goals.
• Track and report outcomes, evaluating programs to meet objectives.
