Job summary

Harford County Government seeks a Community Resources Coordinator (Grant/FT/Benefits) in Bel Air, MD to provide social casework and benefits counseling, support elderly and disabled residents, their caregivers, and manage programs such as MAP and Senior Care.

The role requires completing assessments, referrals, documentation, and reporting, with some evening/weekend work; qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience, plus a Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of social casework experience.
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Maryland driver's license with <=3 points.
• Experience with aging services and community resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to seniors and adults with disabilities and caregivers on services.
• Complete assessments of client and caregiver needs.
• Make referrals to service agencies and follow up on outcomes.
• Assist clients in completing applications and submitting documents.
• Prepare reports and maintain client files in a timely manner.
• Deliver community education and outreach about services.
