Job summary

Gwinnett County is seeking a Program Leader for the Community Resource Center to oversee program execution and daily operations, resident and partner engagement, scheduling, and reporting.

You will coordinate daily programs and events, ensure spaces are prepared, monitor quality and outcomes, support outreach and interdepartmental collaboration, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers while ensuring compliance with county policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in parks and recreation, health and human services, senior services, social work, or public administration.
• One year of experience in a community resource center, human services programming, public-facing service delivery.
• CPR / First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver daily programs, workshops, classes, and events within the Community Resource Center, ensuring activities are implemented as scheduled and participant experience meets County standards.
• Monitor program quality, participant feedback, program effectiveness, and service outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Serve as a front-line contact for residents and community partners, providing customer service and on-site coordination to access health, human services, and community resources.
• Assist with scheduling, documentation, registrations, deposits, refunds, and basic financial documentation per County policies.
• Support coordination with internal County departments and external partners, ensuring smooth program execution and shared space use.
• Assist with identifying service gaps and coordinating staff/volunteers, ensuring programs meet community needs.
• Provide on-site supervision of part-time staff and volunteers and ensure compliance with County policies and safety procedures.
• Deliver verbal presentations and orientations to residents and groups to explain services and access resources.
