An established industry player is seeking a passionate Community Relations Manager to enhance accessibility and inclusivity within public library services. This pivotal role involves leading marketing and communications efforts, engaging diverse communities, and overseeing partnerships to ensure library services remain relevant and accessible. WCCLS is seeking a Community Relations Manager to support our mission by enhancing accessibility, inclusivity, and responsiveness to community needs across the county. This role oversees the Marketing & Communications and Partnerships teams, focusing on increasing community awareness, reaching new users, and ensuring relevance and accessibility of library services to our diverse community. The position aligns with WCCLS's strategic goals, particularly Increase Access and Deepen Community Awareness and Engagement.
The Community Relations Manager is a vital part of the Leadership Team, collaborating with the Operations Manager and IT Systems Administration Supervisor to set departmental goals, develop staff, and foster a growth-oriented, collaborative work culture.
As WCCLS progresses through the Writing Our Future initiative with nine city and three nonprofit partners, the manager will play a key role in implementing updates to operational and governance models and supporting upcoming educational efforts for the November 2025 library levy replacement.
This position may offer a hybrid work schedule.
WCCLS funds and supports public libraries in Washington County, providing essential infrastructure such as shared collections, technology, catalog systems, and policies, ensuring equitable access across urban and rural areas.
