Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department is seeking a Creative Recreation Specialist to plan and direct seasonal programs, events, and camps. The role includes front desk duties, registration, and community partnerships to serve diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Experience with community recreation programs.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation Administration, Health and Physical Education, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and evaluate programs and activities in a recreation center or park facility.
• Provide customer service and handle funds for information, registration, rentals.
• Ensure safety of participants and administer first aid when necessary.
• Enforce rules and regulations; collect fees and registrations for programs and rentals.
• Assist in light maintenance of facilities and recreational areas; supervise children in programs.
