Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Recreation Support Specialist in Cartersville, GA to assist with a wide range of MWR programs, events, and services. You will help customers, process registrations, manage inventory, and support the execution of day-to-day activities and special events.

The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to MWR goals, with opportunities for involvement in multiple programs, community outreach, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience in customer service or recreation activities.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of goals and procedures of Navy MWR and its recreation activities.
• Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and information for Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Process registrations and collect payments using POS and computer systems.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and conduct inspections.
• Assist in planning and executing workshops, events, trips and promotions.
• Support in marketing and outreach for MWR programs.
