Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation or Sports Management or closely related field.
• One year of experience with recreation programs, including community center programming.
• Combination of education and experience may meet minimum requirements.
• Valid Driver's License.
• First Aid and CPR Certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate year-round sports activities for youth and adults, including events and clinics.
• Provide instruction and lead activities as necessary.
• Select and implement cultural arts, physical activities, and special interest activities.
• Supervise classes and workshops in city recreation programs and co-sponsored programs.
• Respond to public inquiries via telephone, email, or social media.
• Assist with sponsorships for programs, leagues, and events.
• Promote programs to school officials, other recreation officials, community groups, and the public.
• Assist with set-up and tear down of events and move equipment.
