The City of Milpitas Recreation and Community Services Department seeks Recreation Leaders to engage K-6 students in after-school activities, games, and homework support at various elementary sites.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic problem-solvers with strong communication skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work both independently off-site and with colleagues in compliance with city rules.

The ideal candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. They must be able to work independently off site and with other co-workers in compliance with City Rules and Regulations. Recreation Leaders may also be invited to work in additional areas including special events and other program areas within the Recreation and Community Services Department.
This position is part of the After the Bell Program and provides support at various elementary school sites. Recreation Leaders work with students in kindergarten through 6th grade for After the Bell and grades 7-9 for LYFE in after school activities, structured games, and homework assistance. Other assignments provide support to the Milpitas Teen Center, leading activities of the same sort with teenage students.

Under direct supervision of the Recreation Leader IV, Recreation Leader V and Program Coordinator, Recreation Leaders will lead kindergarten through 6th grade students in activities, games and other recreational activities at various elementary school sites.
