Job summary

TeamBuilders is a community-based behavioral health organization in Taos, NM seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse to join its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. You will deliver community-based psychiatric nursing services to adults, children and families, with emphasis on stability and independence.

In this role, you will administer medications (including long-acting injectables), perform health assessments, collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, and document

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in New Mexico; behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum education: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Nursing Practice.
• Experience with psychotropic medications, crisis intervention, and building therapeutic relationships is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office).
• Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness.
• Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management).
• Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization.
• Educate clients and families on medication and health management.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
