Job summary

TeamBuilders Behavioral Health in Taos, NM is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse to join our ACT team. You will deliver community-based psychiatric nursing services to adults and families, helping clients achieve stability and improved quality of life.

The role requires NM RN or LPN licensure, 1–2 years of psychiatric care experience, and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Active RN or LPN license in New Mexico.
Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office).
Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness.
Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management).
Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization.
Educate clients and families on medication and health management.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
