Job summary

TeamBuilders is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ACT team in Taos, NM. You will provide community-based psychiatric nursing services to adults with serious mental illness, helping them achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work outside a traditional clinical setting and directly impact the community. You will collaborate with psychiatry, therapy, and case management professionals, administer medications

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico and eligible to practice.
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office).
• Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness.
• Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management).
• Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization.
• Educate clients and families on medication and health management.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
