Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Community Manager to lead on-site operations for a residential property. This role oversees leasing, staff supervision, budgeting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance and high-quality resident services.

A strong candidate will manage safety, maintenance, and community relations to maintain a well-operated, compliant property. You will work with residents, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations, accurate records, and timely

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in multi-family residential property management.
• Leasing experience required.
• Accounting/Financial and Administrative background preferred.
• Tax Credit, Section 8 and/or Public housing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management, direction, training and safety of all employees assigned to the property.
• Hire, train, evaluate and discipline staff per policy.
• Set schedules and assign office and maintenance duties.
• Train staff in safe operating procedures and report accidents.
• Design and execute leasing marketing campaigns; prepare leases and related forms.
• Ensure residents meet eligibility requirements and address non-compliance swiftly.
• Assist in annual budgeting and maintain financial records including payroll and deposits.
• Supervise outside contractors and negotiate contracts to deadlines.
• Oversee move-ins/outs and inspections with management staff.
• Engage with residents and service providers to resolve issues and improve communities.
• Comply with company directives and continuously inspect property for improvements.
