Job summary

National Community Renaissance is seeking a Community Manager I to lead property administration, compliance, and maintenance, while aiming for 100% occupancy. You will partner with Hope Through Housing to deliver social programs and build community relations in Inglewood, CA.

The role requires supervisory experience and strong customer service skills. Responsibilities span compliance, operations, financial tasks, HR, and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in a role with comparable responsibilities.
• Ability to pass Tax Credit Certification within the first year.
• Experience in customer service.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Compliance: Ensure resident files and Yardi data are maintained per policies and regulations; review and approve notices for recertification; maintain waiting lists and process housing applications.
• Property Operations: Manage marketing for vacancies; issue notices; conduct monthly site inspections; oversee inventory and coordinate with Resident Services for timely purchases; ensure timely turnover of vacancies.
• Financial: Balance petty cash; post resident payments in Yardi; prepare month-end reports; manage accounts receivable and coordinate collections.
• Human Resources: Supervise 1–2 on-site staff; maintain relationships with CORE departments; conduct interviews, training, and performance evaluations.
• Customer Service: Respond to resident complaints promptly; foster a caring, vibrant community for residents and neighbors.
• Resident Programs: Design, implement, and manage resident programs and ensure ongoing success.
• Community Relations: Maintain positive relationships with City staff and local partners; engage social service providers.
• General: Attend company events; perform other duties as requested.
