Job summary

The Salvation Army in Detroit is seeking a Community Outreach & Program Coordinator to lead and improve all community center programs and supervise staff. You will develop curriculum, coordinate with partner groups, and connect families to ministry opportunities through events and programs.

The role requires managing program reports, maintaining databases, and ensuring the center operates smoothly, including transport duties as needed. Strong ethics and Office 365 skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 semester hours in child care or child care development, plus 480 hours experience or equivalent.
• Experience directing youth and/or senior programs preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Promote, participate in, and evaluate community center programs.
• Develop curriculum, recreation, and activities.
• Coordinate with external groups for programming.
• Connect families to ministry through events and programs.
• Supervise center staff and ensure maintenance of facilities.
• Drive a 12-passenger van for participants as needed.
