Job summary

Miami City Ballet seeks a Part-Time Community Engagement Program Coordinator to support day-to-day coordination of Community Engagement programs and events. You will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement and staff to move initiatives from planning to execution, handling logistics, communications, materials, and documentation.

The role offers roughly 20 hours weekly, primarily onsite Tuesday–Thursday, with occasional evenings and weekends for programs and events.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience supporting or coordinating programs, events, or nonprofit/community engagement.
• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong organizational, follow-through, time-management, and detail orientation.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Professional, confident communication and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; willing to learn new tools.
• Must be at least 18 and pass Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Support all Community Engagement programs and initiatives as assigned.
• Coordinate program activities and recurring components as directed.
• Assist with follow-up communications, timelines, and action items.
• Communicate with teaching artists, volunteers, partners, participants, and staff.
• Coordinate teaching artists, volunteers, and resources as directed by leadership.
• Schedule and follow up with volunteers; manage outreach activities.
• Provide onsite support for programs and events, including setup and breakdown.
• Maintain program calendars, files, and documentation; support admin needs.
• Assist with grant reports and program-related documentation.
