Job summary

Bobbi & Barry Lewis Jewish Community Center seeks a Special Projects Coordinator to oversee cultural, educational, and Jewish/Israeli events. The role ensures programming meets membership needs and that space is used efficiently across programs while upholding the JCC mission.

The role involves budgeting, sponsorship coordination, collateral creation, and collaboration with the Marketing Director to engage the community and manage event logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience with event planning and/or cultural/Jewish programming.
• Ability to work nights and weekends on a regular basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Access.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate the programs and projects as assigned.
• Database management for all events.
• Coordinate sponsorships for all events.
• Manage logistics and flow for all events, including transportation and hotel accommodations when applicable.
• Develop and monitor budgets for all programs and events; work with leadership on funding opportunities.
• Outreach to the community, synagogues and other organizations.
• Create collateral pieces using the JCC brand for all events in coordination with Marketing Director.
• Purchase supplies, equipment, and food necessary for events.
• Write copy for emails, newsletters, and website.
• Work closely with chairs and committees on developing programs.
