Helpline Youth Counseling — Community Engagement Specialist role within the Community Collaboration Program (CCP) aims to build and sustain coalitions to address substance use harms among youth in SPA-7. The role emphasizes collaboration with prevention providers, agencies, and diverse community members across Los Angeles County.

Under supervision, you will lead prevention activities, coordinate events, and implement evidence-based strategies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field highly desired.
• One year of experience providing substance use prevention services preferred.
• Experience developing, providing, and evaluating community-based environmental prevention programs/services.
• Experience with SPF Steps: Assessment, Capacity, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation.
• Ability to lead and facilitate community groups and diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in providing community assessments for youth and community members in SPA-7.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain coalitions and engage prevention providers and local agencies.
• Engage diverse community members from public and private sectors in SPA 7.
• Lead/facilitate community capacity-building events (summits, conferences, town halls).
• Increase awareness of substances harms to youth and organize prevention activities and events.
• Provide support and technical assistance to community partners; document activities timely.
