Job summary

Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc.'s pharmacy team in Deltona, FL is hiring a full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to support safe dispensing and patient navigation in a busy FQHC setting.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, handle insurance claims, maintain patient profiles, and assist with inventory while delivering compassionate service to the community. Experience with PioneerRx and EHR systems is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience billing prescription insurance claims and resolving third-party rejections.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively with pharmacy and electronic health record systems.
• Experience with PioneerRx preferred.
• PTCB or NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with processing, preparing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Receive written and electronic prescriptions and refill requests, ensuring information is complete and accurate prior to data entry.
• Establish and maintain accurate patient profiles, including allergies, medications, insurance information, and other required information.
• Process prescription insurance claims and troubleshoot third-party billing rejections.
• Count, weigh, measure, pour, and reconstitute prescription medications within the Pharmacy Technician scope of practice.
• Accept and process patient payments.
• Assist patients with accessing available Patient Assistance Programs and other medication resources.
• Provide friendly, compassionate service to patients in person and over the phone.
• Support medication and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and identifying shortages.
• Monitor inventory for expired or outdated medications and assist with appropriate returns.
