Job summary

Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc. in DeLand, FL is seeking a full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join a Federally Qualified Health Center pharmacy team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, assist with insurance claims, maintain patient profiles, and support inventory while ensuring HIPAA compliance and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience billing prescription insurance claims and resolving third-party rejections.
• PTCB or NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with accurately and efficiently processing, preparing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Receive written and electronic prescriptions and refill requests, ensuring information is complete and accurate prior to data entry.
• Establish and maintain accurate patient profiles, including allergies, medications, insurance information, and other required information.
• Process prescription insurance claims and troubleshoot third-party billing rejections.
• Count, weigh, measure, pour, and reconstitute prescription medications within the Pharmacy Technician scope of practice.
• Accept and process patient payments.
• Assist patients with accessing available Patient Assistance Programs and other medication resources.
• Provide friendly, compassionate service to patients in person and over the phone.
• Support medication and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and identifying shortages.
