City of Burlington, NC seeks an Animal Services Community Support Coordinator to deliver counseling, resource referrals, and responsible pet care guidance at the PARC. You will collaborate with fosters, adopters, volunteers, and staff to meet community pet needs with professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities include data entry in Chameleon/Ac​uity, handling inquiries by phone/email/in person, and supporting programs for lost pets, adoptions, and fostering in a no-kill environment.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree + 1 year related work experience, or HS diploma with 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and public service.
• Familiarity with NC animal welfare regulations (NC G.S. Chapters 19A, NCAC 52J) and related ordinances.

Aufgaben

• Provide counseling on animal-related concerns and refer to resources.
• Assist customers with lost pet recovery, adoption, fostering, volunteering, and partner programs.
• Respond to inquiries via high-volume calls, emails, and in-person visits.
• Maintain accurate data in Chameleon and other systems.
• Prepare reports, records, appointments, and photos of incoming pets.
• Support a digital/paperless office and regulatory compliance.
