Job summary

City of Saint Charles is seeking a part-time Community Services Coordinator to serve as the central point for community partnerships, human services initiatives, and special projects addressing housing stability.

The role acts as a liaison among the Mayor's Office, city departments, service providers, and community stakeholders to coordinate resources, connect residents with programs, and support collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, community development, human services, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in local government or nonprofit work.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills are essential.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the City's primary point of contact regarding human service resources.
• Provide information and referrals to residents and connect individuals with appropriate agencies for intake and support services.
• Maintain and continually update a comprehensive directory of public, nonprofit, faith-based, and private assistance programs.
• Collaborate with City departments to implement community initiatives and improve communication.
• Assist with community outreach and public education efforts related to housing, homelessness, and human services initiatives.
• Coordinate volunteers and community partners to support initiatives.
