Job summary

Education First FCU is seeking a Business Development Officer to drive membership growth in Southeast Texas, focusing on Jefferson and Hardin counties. The role requires building partnerships with businesses, schools, and SEGs while promoting the credit union’s products and services to deepen member relationships.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in public or community relations, strong communication and leadership skills, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

Three to five years experience in public or community relations.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
Leadership, strong team management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Canva; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Develop relationships with businesses, community organizations, schools, and SEGs to generate new memberships.
Represent the credit union at community events, networking functions, and sponsorship activities.
Maintain ongoing relationships with partners and employee groups; expand through additional services.
Maintain CRM activity records and submit weekly reports; assist in preparing outreach reports.
Assist in program promotion, logistics, and distribution of scholarship and other funds.
