Job summary

Allentown Parking Authority is seeking a Customer Service Representative dedicated to serving our community. You will engage with residents, visitors, and business owners, educate on parking regulations, and resolve inquiries with empathy.

The role reports to the Manager of Customer Service and emphasizes accuracy in transactions and records. Hours are posted with variability; starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must possess and maintain a valid PA driver’s license.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Prior experience in customer service, community relations, or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for the Parking Authority by providing courteous and helpful interactions with residents, visitors, and business owners.
• Educate the public on parking regulations to help understand the rules and community benefits.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, offering guidance and solutions.
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments for fees, permits, fines, ensuring confidentiality and security.
• Guide customers through permit applications and assist with parking operations.
• Maintain records of interactions and transactions, inputting police tickets and citations.
