Job summary

Cffde seeks a part-time community outreach liaison to foster parent engagement at Maurice Pritchett Academy in Wilmington. You will develop relationships with parents, school staff, and neighborhood organizations, coordinating workshops, trainings, and events that connect families with available services.

The role emphasizes evening/weekend activity availability and is limited to up to 25 hours per week with no benefits. Bilingual Spanish/English is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience.
• AA degree with experience desirable.
• Bilingual Spanish/English desirable.
• Must be flexible with regard to schedule for some evening and/or weekend activities.
• Former or current parent and/or resident of the feeder area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with parents and other members of the assigned school in the community and work with groups and community based collaborations.
• Establish linkages with neighborhood-based organizations for information gathering, referral and advocacy for families.
• Engage parents in school activities through community outreach and support parent resource center activities.
• Maintain communication with parents about services, training, and program opportunities.
• Work with the Community School Site Coordinator to plan workshops, trainings, and seminars for parents.
• Lead the planning and coordination of events; recruit target families and connect them with services.
