Job summary

The EMT-Paramedic at Bay Mills Indian Community is expected to perform all department policies with proficiency, under MDHHS licensure requirements. Responsibilities include diagnostics, treatment, airway management, IV therapy, ECG monitoring, and transport, delivering care per EUPMCA protocols and coordinating with EMS, police and fire services.

Essential functions cover vehicle operation, patient history, triage, communication, scene safety, and training attendance.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Michigan EMS license through MDHHS.
• ACLS and PALS certification required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across agencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate EMS vehicle and medical equipment.
• Perform patient assessment and emergency care per MDHHS protocols.
• Document patient care and coordinate with EMS, police and fire services.
• Participate in trainings and maintain readiness.
• Adhere to safety and privacy requirements.
