Job summary

The Howard University seeks an Outreach Coordinator to coordinate community outreach activities in support of clinical trials and related research programs. The role reports to the PI and works with staff, clinicians, and community partners to expand study awareness and enrollment.

Responsibilities include managing outreach logistics, developing communications, and maintaining participant engagement while ensuring compliance with university policies and study timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant area studies field and 1-3 years of experience.
• AAS degree in a relevant area studies field and 2-3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in survey tools, data entry, and basic statistical analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Executes directives to coordinate administrative procedures within the department and/or among offices.
• Monitors and analyzes data to track progress and identify trends in outreach.
• Collaborates with the PI, supervisors, clinical trial staff, and community-based organizations to inform participants about support services.
• Performs data analysis using tables, graphs, and basic statistics.
• Assists in creating promotional materials and communication strategies to raise awareness and retention.
• Coordinates participant follow-up communications to maintain engagement.
• Maintains accurate records of outreach activities for reporting and compliance purposes.
