Job summary

The Alaska Center Education Fund's Trailside Discovery Camp is seeking an Outreach & Programs Coordinator to support year-round programming, community outreach, camper and staff recruitment, and program readiness.

This full-time, in-person role operates from our Anchorage office and participates in events, with summer and peak periods requiring leadership and hands-on site management; compensation is $66-69K annually.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth programming, outdoor education, recreation, nonprofit programs.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to complete within six months.
• Current, valid driver’s license and ability to drive camp vehicles.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during outreach events and peak camp season.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Trailside programming across winter, spring, summer camps and partner events.
• Prepare program materials and ensure staff and sites have supplies.
• Maintain curriculum and update or adapt as needed; source resources.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory, distribution, and replenishment of program supplies.
• Assist with day-to-day program implementation, including scheduling and field-based support.
• Deliver seasonal staff training related to programming and youth engagement.
• Be prepared to assume site leadership during summer camp as needed.
