Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Community Field Coordinator to assist with school-wide support and community outreach. This temporary paraprofessional position may end when the current staff returns.

Reports to the Principal/Head of School and focuses on partnerships with community agencies and families. Responsibilities include marketing planning for newsletters, coordinating events, and engaging with parents, families, and migrant communities with sensitivity to cultural needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree, or passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
• Experience building community partnerships and networks.
• Experience with youth and with community organizations serving migrants and immigrant families.
• Cultural awareness; ability to work in a team.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop a marketing plan for the school newsletter and brochures.
• Establish partnerships with community and corporate agencies.
• Coordinate community outreach and culturally diverse activities.
• Develop strategies for parent and family involvement in the school.
• Identify resources and speakers to support dialogues and student body.
