Job summary

The Cape May County Library is seeking an Outreach Librarian 1 to promote library services and coordinate with community groups. Based at the Cape May Court House Library, the role includes travel to other branches and events, oversight of the Museum Pass program and Homebound service, and leadership of the Outreach Committee under the Assistant Director.

This 35-hour-per-week position features a rotating schedule with occasional nights and weekends to cover community events; required

Qualifications

• MLS degree from an ALA-accredited program or current MLS student.
• Eligible for New Jersey Public Librarian’s Certificate.
• New Jersey residency required.

Responsibilities

• Promote library services by coordinating with community groups across the county.
• Attend community events and deliver talks/presentations.
• Oversee the Museum Pass program and Homebound service.
