Job summary

Fenway Health in Boston seeks a Community Engagement Associate to advance outreach, education, and partnerships across Greater Boston. You will build relationships with community organizations, represent Fenway at events, and deliver culturally responsive health education to diverse populations.

Travel throughout the Greater Boston area is required to strengthen partnerships and promote access to care, including telehealth and after-hours options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community engagement, health education, and health equity.
• Clear, culturally responsive health communication.
• 1–3 years in outreach, engagement, or health education.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive health education.
• Ability to build relationships with community organizations.
• Experience coordinating outreach events.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
• Commitment to equity, anti-racism, cultural humility.
• Professional, empathetic communication across diverse populations.
• Experience with LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, immigrant communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements outreach, engagement, and health education activities.
• Represents Fenway Health at community events to increase awareness.
• Provides culturally responsive health education on HIV, LGBTQIA+ health, immigrant health.
• Educates about expanded care options including telehealth and after-hours access.
• Identifies opportunities to expand partnerships and programs.
• Maintains the community partner database and tracks engagement outcomes.
• Supports logistics for outreach events and educational presentations.
