Job summary

Presidio Trust in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist to join the Visitor Engagement Team. This full-time role focuses on expanding access to national parks, co-curating park experiences, events, and partnerships with underserved communities.

You will build long-term relationships with community leaders, manage programs, collect feedback, and help translate insights into improved park experiences while representing the agency professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse communities.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; willingness to learn Salesforce and other tools.

Responsibilities

• Community Access: coordinates opportunities for community groups to access, experience, and enjoy the Presidio.
• Community Co-curated Events & Activations: plan and implement events with partners.
• Community Outreach & Relationship Building: build trust with leaders and organizations.
• Program and Project Management: lead programs aligning with goals.
• Community Feedback & Data: collect feedback and translate findings into actions.
• Agency Ambassador: represent the Presidio Trust at meetings and events.
• Planning: contribute to strategies and priorities with the team.
