Position Overview

The Community Outreach Coordinator coordinates service delivery,participant recruitment, community outreach efforts, and implementsevaluation strategies for the Lapwai-Orofino Upward Boundproject.

Major Responsibilities

• Providing services
• Providing information on post-secondary and career choiceoptions
• Providing academic and financial aid assistance to eligibleparticipants wishing to pursue a program of postsecondaryeducation
• Documenting and evaluating project services

Required Experience

• Knowledge of concepts and factors related to educationalopportunity for low-income, and first-generation students
• Operating computers to conduct independent research, prepareinformational reports and analyze data using a variety of softwareprograms
• Developing and delivering educational content in large groupand individual settings (i.e.: in person, distance, digital)
• Compiling and analyzing data
• Maintaining confidentiality while managing highly sensitivedocuments and information
• Working with and maintaining student records
• Working with minimal supervision

• Bachelor's Degree

• Ability to travel overnight for student programming, inaddition to occasional travel between locations during the businessday for meetings and support
• Ability to work nonstandard business hours as requested bysupervisor
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to meet the University's driving requirements

Additional Preferred

Education:

• Master's with a preference for Education, Social Sciences or English degree programs

Experience in:

• Student service delivery; TRIO programs and/or similarprograms; in planning and coordinating educational activities;teaching, supervising or counseling
• Risk management as it relates to college going processes andprocedures
• Implementing major program planning and coordination
• Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
