The role reports to the Public Information Specialist II and focuses on developing and distributing outreach materials, managing inquiries, and coordinating events with community members, businesses, and agencies.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of public outreach or communications experience.
• Experience supporting public infrastructure or government projects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with proofreading and quality control abilities.
• Ability to interact professionally with community members and officials.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours to support outreach events.

Aufgaben

• Implement stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
• Track and address public inquiries, comments, complaints, and requests for information.
• Prepare and distribute traffic advisories and construction notices.
• Maintain stakeholder contact databases and distribution lists.
• Draft routine correspondence and outreach materials.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and informational materials.
• Coordinate logistics for outreach events, open houses, workshops, community meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
• Support website updates and CMS content management activities.
• Assist with social media content preparation, scheduling, graphics coordination, and monitoring.
• Support media event preparation, attendee coordination, logistics, and material distribution.
• Maintain communication records, outreach activity logs, and stakeholder engagement databases.
• Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, sign-in sheets, and meeting summaries.
• Provide updates on project activities to the Public Information Specialist II.
• Prepare reports documenting outreach efforts, stakeholder engagement activities, and communication metrics.
• Distribute project information to internal project teams and external stakeholders.
• Assist contractor and consultant teams with approved project communication protocols.
• Assist field outreach activities at project sites, meetings, and community events.
• Perform other communications and outreach-related duties as assigned.
