Job summary

Palatine Library District seeks an Outreach Manager to lead the development and implementation of outreach strategies, programs, partnerships, and community initiatives. The role strengthens the Library's role as a trusted community resource, serving adults, families, seniors, schools, and partners across the district.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of outreach experience, with leadership of staff, volunteers, and interns. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Three years of related experience in community outreach in a comparable business, organization, or library.
• Experience supervising staff, volunteers, and interns.
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish or other language commonly spoken in the district preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops, and evaluates partnerships with community organizations to support Library activities.
• Provides leadership and direction for community outreach activities across all Library locations.
• Facilitates the exchange of information and resources among Library staff and community partners.
• Serves as a member of the Library’s Management Team and participates in strategic planning and policy development.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff, volunteers, and interns involved in outreach activities.
