Palatine Park District is seeking a community-focused professional to lead year-round programming, camps and outreach for underserved youth and adults. You will collaborate with partners, assist with registrations and scholarships, and pursue grants to fund programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in recreation/park and tourism administration, strong communication, and a valid Class D license. Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly valued for serving our diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement and supervise year-round programming, camps and special events for underserved youth and adults.
• Cooperatively work with community partners to provide services, may act as liaison for one or more groups.
• Assist patrons with navigating district registration and scholarship process.
• Research and secure outside funding sources to support programming via grants and donations.
• Supervise staff and volunteers working programs including hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and discipline.
• Responsible for creating budgets and accurate tracking of expense, revenues and purchases.
• Communicates with community members to raise awareness of program offerings and connect individuals with services that support their needs.
