Shreveport Job Corps Center seeks an Outreach and Admissions Counselor to support a U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. Based in Shreveport, LA, you will educate communities, partner with schools and social services, and promote referral and enrollment services for eligible youth ages 16–24.

You will manage eligibility, coordinate with CDSS tools, conduct campus tours and community events, and track applicant status to meet enrollment targets. Evening/weekend outreach may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or an Associate's degree with two years related experience.
• Experience in outreach/admissions or youth development programs is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid certifications.

Responsabilités

• Recruits eligible youth to the Job Corps program and submits sufficient eligible applicant folders.
• Maintains contact with applicants and documents interactions in the required database.
• Conducts campus tours and represents the center at community events and schools.
• Provides information about eligibility, enrollment process, and privacy rights.
• Coordinates with community resources to meet applicants' needs and supports CDSS activities.
