Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Community Nurse Educator (PRN) to lead clinical education, orientation, and ongoing competency verification. The CNE collaborates with nursing leadership to promote patient safety, high-quality care, and evidence-based practice across units.

You will provide clinical consultation, mentor preceptors and staff, support accreditation activities, and participate in research to advance clinical standards.

Competenze

• Current RN license or work permit in Kentucky.
• Three (3) years of acute care experience in the designated specialty within the last five (5) years.
• BSN from accredited nursing program.
• Certification as Professional Development Specialist (PDS) preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications as required by department of assignment.

• Collaborates with department directors, nursing staff, and others to identify unit-specific educational needs.
• Collaborates with other educators to prevent redundancies of educational efforts.
• Facilitates unit/hospital orientation program for area of responsibility.
• Provides ongoing support and coaching to preceptors and/or new employees.
• Assesses educational needs through various methods for orientation, in-service and continuing education.
• Teaches programs using adult learning principles and strong presentation skills.
• Evaluates achievement of learning objectives.
• Facilitates accreditation-related educational credits and documents accordingly.
• Participates in patient care delivery.
• Acts as a resource for staff locating best evidence, policies, and protocols.
• Provides clinical consultation.
• Participates in research/evidence-based practice and applies findings.
