Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in our Home and Community Program. You will evaluate clients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy in home, school, work, and community settings to help people regain independence after brain or spinal injuries.

You will work autonomously within a collaborative team of therapists, with a schedule you help design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an OT.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; capable of lifting up to 100 pounds with safe procedures.
• Full range of physical requirements including pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess treatment effectiveness; attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide recommendations for home and community safety; offer resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, client and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improved outcomes.
