Job summary

The Information Center is hiring a resource navigator to assess client needs and provide referrals across multiple programs in a call center and community settings. The role includes intake screening, enrollment assistance for MI Bridges, Medicaid, and ACA plans, advocacy, crisis intervention, and ongoing case management.

The candidate will work in person with potential hybrid work after training and performance criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Experience providing information and referrals, community navigation, crisis intervention, advocacy, or case management.
• Experience Medicaid, healthcare enrollment, public assistance, or benefits navigation programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and equitable service delivery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to assess client needs, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and call management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify barriers, needs and referrals.
• Navigate government program applications and enrollment services for equitable access.
• Provide information and enrollment services for MI Bridges, Medicaid, and ACA marketplace plans.
• Follow-up and case management for clients with complex needs.
• Conduct assessments in various community-based settings.
• Provide advocacy, resource coordination, and short-term crisis intervention.
• Maintain accurate, timely, confidential client records in databases.
• Prepare reports and data entry with attention to detail.
